Arkoudilas Trail Rules

  1. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
    Maximum number of participating athletes per race is 200 people. the order of priority based on participation requests will be respected.

  2. TIME LIMITS
    Those who finish within the following time limits are eligible.
    ARKOUDILAS TRAIL 22 km, 5 hours.
    MONASTERY RUN 10 km, 3 hours.
    Participants who leave are obliged to report to the nearest station. Participants who are not able to continue are obliged to leave and give their number. The choice to continue will be their responsibility. Those participants who finish after the limit are considered not to have completed the route.

  3. PARTICIPATION NUMBER
    Each athlete is obliged to have his/her participation number in a visible place on the front of his/her shirt. The number may not be duplicated or altered.

  4. RECRUITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS
    Any athlete who is approached by a faster athlete is obliged, if requested, to pull aside so that he can be overtaken quickly and safely.

  5. ACCOMMODATION OF PARTICIPANTS
    Friends and relatives are not allowed to accompany participants. Any athlete who wishes to run accompanied by a companion animal must have it tied, follow the last athlete and overtaking it is only allowed after consultation and consent.

  6. AID
    Any external assistance, the artificial assistance of participants to each other as well as the use of any motorized aid is prohibited. Baton, map, compass, GPS, mobile phone are allowed.

  7. WASTE
    It is prohibited to drop any packaging material along the route. Offenders will be punished up to and including disqualification from the match.

  8. PENALTIES
    All of the following offenses will result in disqualification: Failure to display or alter entry number, accepting outside assistance, littering, using a motorized aid, changing route, obstructing another participant, failing to comply with instructions, rudeness, inappropriate behavior, failure to attend a station , use of prohibited or narcotic substances, refusal to take a doping test, refusal to be examined by an organization doctor if deemed necessary. Abandonment and failure to inform incurs his penalty from any future event.

  9. OBJECTIONS
    Objections for any reason are made only by the participant himself no later than 30 minutes after his termination. Which decision of the appeals committee is final and does not accept any discussion.

  10. COMMISSION
    The organizing committee is responsible for any problem or objection that arises.

  11. ROUTE MODIFICATION
    The organizer can modify the routes if for any reason there is a risk to the safety of the athletes. It can also delay the start or cancel or postpone the match.

  12. PRIZES
    The first 3 category winners of each route will receive prizes. A commemorative medal is given to all those who finish within the specified time limits.

  13. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
    The organizer is not responsible for the death, injury or any damage to the health of the participants who, by submitting the declaration request, declare that they are aware of the dangers that exist in a mountainous environment. Also, from the moment he accepts the terms of participation, he accepts that for any health damage the participant is solely responsible and is not entitled to any compensation neither he nor any of his relatives. Each participant is obliged to undergo a regular medical check-up and to have had the necessary medical check-up in the last six months to be able to take part in the Arkoudilas Trail. He should also have the medical certificate with him and present it if requested at the event. The organizer reserves the right not to allow a participant to complete the Arkoudilas Trail race if there is a relevant opinion from the doctor of the Arkoudilas Trail, South Corfu Runners. The insurance of the athletes is borne by them.

  14. AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS
    The organization reserves the right to modify the present regulations of the competition without prior notification if this is deemed necessary.

  15. ADVERTISING
    By applying for participation, each participant allows the organizer to photograph and videotape him, during, and at the awards of the ARKOUDILAS TRAIL, for advertising purposes.
