Race Terms

In view of my participation in South Corfu Runners, in South Corfu, with full knowledge of the consequences and knowing the sanctions (3), provided by the provisions of paragraph 6 of article 22 of Law 1599/1986, I declare that:

1. I will participate in the races organized by South Corfu Runners.

I know that mountain running is an activity that tests the limits of physical and mental endurance and can cause serious injuries, death, loss of property.

Risks (but not limited to the following) come from the physical environment, facilities, temperature, weather, fitness of athletes, equipment, traffic of other vehicles, reactions of other people (e.g. volunteers, organizers , judges, athletes, vehicle drivers), but also from dehydration or lack of food.

I am in excellent physical condition and have undergone all the necessary medical examinations in order to safely participate in the above test. In particular, I have undergone a stress test, a cardiac check-up, etc.

I also expressly declare that I am insured in the event of an accident during my participation in the above race in a mountainous environment and I am aware of the potential risk of physical injury or damage to my equipment from my participation in the race as well as the consequences thereof.

2. I understand that I will be moving on a road network, with intersections and during the race I will be exposed to the weather conditions that will prevail in the area on that particular day.

I know that I can be put in danger by the negligence or carelessness of other people, due to incomplete or defective equipment or property of me or other people.

There is also a chance that I may be endangered by my or other people’s equipment or property even without misuse or poor maintenance.

I know that the event will take place in a public area, where parts of it may be open to traffic and the public, which means that all the risks of such a route are present.

At any point I believe it is unsafe to continue, I will immediately stop participating in this activity.

3. This form will be used by the organizers in any case deemed necessary. My actions will be governed by the spirit of this form.

The organizer is in no way responsible for my death, injury or any damage to my health.

I hereby expressly and unreservedly declare that under no circumstances will I, nor my relatives, turn to or raise a claim against the organizers or their representatives or the sponsors or the supervising authority in the event of material, physical or moral damage to me due to the as above match. I take full responsibility in the event of an accident during the competition, fully and completely exonerating the organizers of the competitions, as well as anyone who helps in this event, such as their partners, sponsors of the event, those who work or volunteer for the event, volunteers , judges, official and uninvited, as long as they are unable, however diligently, to watch me and prevent any possible accident throughout the course of the sport.

Please release the above mentioned in case someone takes legal action against me for an act I did during the event.

4. I give my consent to receive medical and pharmaceutical treatment in case of injury, accident or illness during the event.

I allow the use of photos and videos taken during the event and related activities for any legal use by the organizers and sponsors.

5. The organizing authority will use this statement for any legal use deemed necessary.

6. I have been informed of all the regulations of the competitions which I accept without any reservation.

7. I declare that I have read the present, I have understood the content, I have waived my essential rights and I accept the terms and submit it freely, without any inducement or any assurance.
