1st Mountain Running Race Announcement:
The sports and cultural association South Corfu Runners announces the 1st Mountain Running Race named Arkoudilas Trail 19km 800+, Monastery Run 8km 300+ & Children’s Race 1200m.
Start and finish will be the center of Kavos in the area of South Corfu and just 10 minutes from the port of Lefkimmi.
The date of the race is set for November 25, Sunday and start time 10:00. The race will be held in Arkoudila passing by the monastery, in an area of infinite natural beauty far from human intervention.
The route includes a dirt road, paths and minimal asphalt.
Entries will open on 25th September at www.southcorfurunners.com and close on 16th November.
Registration for the Children’s Race will be done at the secretariat. Children born before 2007 have the right to participate in the children’s race.
Participation fee:
Arkoudilas Trail 19km 800+ €15
Monastery Run 8km 300+ €10
Children’s Race 1200m Free
Payment will be made upon receipt of the package at the points that we will indicate to you in the next few days.
The package includes: Technical T-shirt, athlete number (sticker)
The purpose of the running event is to attract new children to the sport. Also to highlight and protect the ecosystem and beauty of Arkoudila, the area of Kanoulas, the small island, and Agios Gordios, where virgin areas remain with their natural beauty far from human intervention.
